The Pen-Stroke Analysis system records
the learner’s handwritten answer process.

The Pen-Stroke Analysis system records the learner’s handwritten answer process, providing visualization of time-consuming areas and a replay of the answer process. Users can capture the learners’ stuck points and replay the answer process. It also provides clustering and grouping functions that are based on pen-stroke tendencies.

Pen Stroke Analysis

It can visualize the areas where extra time was needed and replay the process.

Example 1 Mathematics classvisualization of answers

Sample of Solution Process Playback

01
Visualization of Where It Took Time

It uses the colors of the characters to indicate the time spent on the answer.

Colors show the Pen-stroke time interval. If the time interval since the previous stroke is short, the color is defined as black; the time is long, the color is defined as red.

02
Identify Stuck Points/ Patterns and Reflect Them in Class Development

Based on the learner’s handwriting, teachers can recognize the discrepancy between their expectation of difficulty level and the student’s difficulty level. With this understanding, teachers can create subsequent teaching materials and tests, and improve teaching methods in the next class.

03
Presenting a Replay of the Solution Process to Facilitate Collaborative Problem-Solving

The learner’s handwriting process can be projected onto the classroom screen and used to guide the class. Instead of the teacher showing the way of solving problems, the system can be projected on the screen and the learners can explain it themselves.

04
Clustering Function

Learners can be clustered based on pen stroke tendencies. Clusters with short pen stalls, clusters with long pen stalls, clusters with high eraser usage, etc. are clustered based on their characteristics.
Users are available to group formation systems that are based on Pen-stroke tendencies clusters. Appropriate group formation methods can be selected according to the activities and objectives.

Example 2 Special Needs classvisualization of stroke order

The text color allows you to infer the order of strokes, helping to determine if the writing sequence is correct.
